To unfold simple solutions is the magic of design thinking / Enxergar as soluções simples é a mágic

More and more people have realized that Design Thinking is an excellent tool to solve complex problems. Understanding and seeing the issue in a systematic way, generating original ideas, connecting the dots, testing alternatives and delivering solutions that add value. It seems complex, doesn't it? But it can be simply magical.

When one learns to think through the design approach, simple solutions pop-up in front of us. And sometimes these are the best! Such as the case of the Impact HUB Munich parking problem. It used to be a mess of cars and bicycles. No budget, no time, no staff to do the job? We may face several barriers to find a solution.

Thus, I decided to test an idea. I drew a parking system with a white chalk directly on the floor.

In the next day, it was possible to see the result: the users understand the system and the parking area was very organized.

Of course, later the lines were painted properly and permanently.

That's how a simple idea design has shown the way to a good and easy solution.

Cada vez mais as pessoas tem percebido que Design thinking é uma excelente ferramenta para resolver problemas complexos. Entendendo e enxergando o problema de forma sistêmica, gerando ideias originais, ligando os pontos, testando alternativas e entregando soluções que agregam valor. Parece complexo, não é? Mas pode ser simplesmente mágico.

Quando se aprende a pensar por meio da abordagem do design, soluções simples saltam na nossa frente. E as vezes essas são as melhores! Como no caso do problema do estacionamento do Impact HUB Munique que costumava estar sempre uma confusão de carros e bicicletas. Sem verba, sem tempo, sem pessoal para resolver a questão? Os problemas no caminho da solução podem ser vários.

Decidi então testar uma ideia. Desenhei no chão com um giz um sistema organizado de vagas de estacionamento. No dia seguinte já se pode ver o resultado: os usuários entenderam o sistema e o estacinamento se organizou. Claro que futuramente vamos pintar e sinalizar o estacionamento de forma adequada e definitiva. Até lá, este simples design já mostrou o caminho para uma boa solução.
